THE SETTING:
The retreat will be held on the beautiful grounds of Lake Logan Retreat Center in Canton, NC.
A retreat community comprised of artistic waterfront cabins, garden cottages and historic meeting facilities — it is a wonderful place for both personal and group retreats. Lake Logan is a uniquely nourishing setting for a retreat, as it is a place where one can be sustained by the natural beauty of the land, the garden-centered cuisine and the stewardship of a teaching/learning community dedicated to the awakening and full blossoming of the human spirit. This 300 acre property offers the seclusion of a tucked away mountain setting and includes a over nine miles of hiking trails and a mile-long lake with canoes, paddle-boards, and a swimming area.
MEALS:
Lunches and dinners are included and will be offered on-site in the spacious yet cozy meeting hall. The array of menu items are varied, fresh, and enticing, and sure to please the most discerning palate. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian alike will be delighted with this generous lunch and dinner buffet.
Participants will also enjoy the use of kitchenettes featuring mini fridge, coffeemaker, microwave and sink in each lodging option. This arrangement will allow you to enjoy a leisurely breakfast before morning class, and to store any snacks you might want to enjoy throughout the retreat.
LODGING:
Your lodging is included in the cost! Choose from one of four Lakeside Cabins—Sunburst, Ash, Maple or Walnut. Each cabin features four rooms, each with en suite bathroom, lake-facing porches with rocking chairs, well-equipped kitchenettes with sink, microwave, toaster, mini-fridge, coffeemaker and toaster, a dining table with chairs, cozy seating area with working fireplace, and easily accessible parking. All rooms may be single or double-occupancy—choose whether you’d like space to yourself for quiet contemplation, or to share this experience with a roommate.
