Group Classes at The Essence of Yoga Center

Yoga classes at The Essence of Yoga Center are designed to bring a sense of openness, strength, and balance to both body and mind. With a focus on developing awareness of body and breath, and learning to coordinate breath and movement, new neural pathways are developed and strengthened, and one’s experience of embodiment shifts toward vitality, fluidity, and ease.

Classes address the common problems and obstacles that are the result of our postural habits and movement patterns, and provide tools for dealing with them effectively. Stability and coordination are emphasized, while the development of self-awareness is encouraged — the foundation for rebalancing one’s health and attaining a sense of well-being. Expect a well-balanced and insightful asana practice, with focus on core strength, optimal alignment, and skillful actions in all the poses. A powerful investment toward better health!
