
In his Yoga Sutras, Patanjali famously wrote “sthira sukham asanam.” This phrase is often translated as a recommendation to find a balance between effort and ease in our yoga postures. When we try Plank Pose for the first time, we might laugh at the thought of ever finding ease in such a demanding posture.
